Company History
SR Group
The company was founded in Semarang, the capital city of Central Java, on 28 July 1978 as a retail store.
Established by Mr. Resturiady Tresno Santoso and Mrs. Tutik Santoso, the store was named Sri Ratu. The word “Sri” is derived from the Javanese concept of prosperity, while “Ratu” means queen or a female ruler in Javanese tradition. Together, the name reflects a symbol of prosperity and dignity rooted in local culture.
